About Guadalupe
The best way to describe Guadalupe Abbud is a well-rounded person. By definition, she is someone who is skilled, capable, and knowledgeable in many different areas.
Born in Mexico City, Guadalupe learned to appreciate the magnificent architecture of the city. As an 18-year-old, she "felt" the call to become an Architect and was accepted into the prestigious School of Architecture in Mexico City, Escuela Nacional de Arquitectura, ENA. The art of building became her first passion, which led her to travel and exploration. She strapped on her backpack and traveled through Europe for ten months, and the grandiose architecture was forever engraved in her adventurous spirit.
Her second passion is a great guy (high school sweetheart actually). Guadalupe and her husband got married in this amazing city of Austin, and marriage and family became a priority. As business entrepreneurs, Guadalupe and her husband founded a Forwarding agency in El Paso, TX, dealing with export-import transactions between Mexico and the United States. Sunland International Company grew to over 100 employees. As the General Manager, Guadalupe implemented all the operational systems, managed and engaged with personnel productivity, and was also involved with financial strategies.
Guadalupe's entrepreneurial, resilient spirit didn't stop there. She began remodeling homes across the city of El Paso and opened a franchise of Curves, a gym for women. While her children attended college in San Marcos, she also created a sales supply of sterling silver jewelry in Austin.
Guadalupe realized that remodeling homes connected with her first passion, architecture. Becoming a real estate agent was the logical next step to consolidate the stability of the business. Little did Guadalupe know that real estate was to become her third passion. She was born to be a real estate agent! She is passionate and committed to her clients and fulfilling their goals.
Her strategy is quite simple and effective. Asking the right questions and dedicating genuine interest in learning exactly what is needed and wanted. Then, working as a team with her clients, The Plan is created, which is a sensible, live, strategic plan that is followed as an operating system. Through detail-oriented and vigilant workstyle, she always makes sure all of the pieces fall into place for her clients as she joyfully navigates the entire process, regardless of possible encounters with obstacles along the way, so that the closing day is a total success. Delivering those keys to home buyers or that check to sellers is of paramount importance and should be a delightful moment as well.
Guadalupe was awarded Top Dollar Producer in El Paso for three consecutive years before relocating to Austin in 2016 to be in the city where she belongs with her two children and her three grandchildren. Her son Sergio is a Lender, and as a mother and son team, they have enjoyed hundreds of closings with families that have attained their homeownership goals as first time home buyers or recurring buyers, both in El Paso and Austin.
People say Guadalupe's enthusiasm for life is contagious. Having earned the friendship and loyalty of so many wonderful people throughout her multiple adventures, she considers herself blessed beyond words.
